At HUYGENS, we don't do Black Friday. We are proud to join the MAKE FRIDAY GREEN AGAIN collective for the second year running and want to use this week to raise our community's awareness of more ethical and responsible consumption.

BLACK FRIDAY NO MORE

There are many reasons why we do not take part in Black Friday, here are a few:

• We do not want to encourage you to over-consume, but to support you in your choice to consume more responsibly

• Our goal is not to win you over with a big promotion over a few days, but to offer you the best quality, at the fairest price, all year round. This is why we regularly review our prices in order to lower them sustainably.

• We prefer to use the week of November 21 to support a cause close to our hearts. This is why we will donate 10% of our sales on Friday November 25 to the NGO Up2green Reforestation.

ACTING TOGETHER

This year again, we want to turn Black Friday into a moment of awareness:

• Although we are delighted to have you as customers, we do not want to encourage you to over-consume. Let's take care of ourselves and our planet, by consuming better and responsibly.

• We are donating 10% of our sales on Friday November 25 to the NGO Up2green Reforestation, an association working in the field to preserve threatened forests and ecosystems in the service of biodiversity. The association supports projects in the field by developing reforestation and agroforestry programs with local populations. ZERO TOLERANCE

We are not doing Black Friday this year. We want to raise our community's awareness of more ethical and responsible consumption.

Few people know it, but… while animal testing has been banned in the European Union since 2013, it remains mandatory for certain types of products in order to access the Chinese market.

That is why you will not find HUYGENS products in China – our Chinese fans order through our eshop and are delivered directly from France!

At HUYGENS, we make it a point of honor to be “cruelty-free”, and to develop beauty products with respect for all:

- No ingredient or product is tested on animals

- We do not export our products to countries that require animal testing

A SECOND LIFE ♻️

What is the point of creating clean products if their packaging does not live up to their formula?

Since our creation in 2013, we have guaranteed that our packaging is recyclable. Our bags, pouches, gift boxes and other point-of-sale materials are made from recycled cardboard and paper.

And we don't stop there! To offer you superb products while protecting the planet, we use:

- Glass bottles

- HDPE bottles, a light and easily recyclable plastic

- Refills for our Shower Gels, our Reed Diffusers and our Home Fragrances

- And PCR HDPE tubes, containing at least 50% recycled material

This message is meant to be short, simple and transparent: let's talk less and recycle better! ♻️

At HUYGENS, made in France takes on its full meaning! A guarantee of quality, the “Made in France” label rhymes with “high standards” and much more: France is a world pioneer in the research and development of ORGANIC cosmetics. For us, producing and buying “Made in France” also means limiting our CO2 emissions. But also (and above all), working with wonderful people who allow us to achieve our dreams and offer you incredible products!

Since 2020, we have offered a Shower Gel and Hand Cleansing Gel refill service in store!

How does it work? It's very simple:

- Clean the bottle(s)

- Bring the empty bottle(s) back to our shop at 24 rue du Temple

- Choose your new scent (or keep the same one because you love it)

- Watch one of our advisors fill the bottle with lots of love

- Save €1.50 per 250ml bottle and €3 per 500ml bottle

- Sing in the shower, glad to have taken part in an eco-responsible approach
